HKAFO Brace

The brace is made on the basis of a hkafo (hip, knee, ankle, foot orthosis) but with added handles and torso and chest supports, which offer the user greater upper body control. (chest support is removable) It is a GRADE 1 MEDICAL DEVICE and to be prescribed or advised for purchase by a Medical Professional.

It allows the user to stand upright and in most cases symmetircal, as well as sit either with legs bent at the knees or stretched out, and step / walk if able.

With ROM hinges at the hips and knees. The level of support can be controlled by the degree settings (flexion & extension) in regards to the users condition but also capabilities. Any movements have to be initiated. This is a rehabilitation/therapy medical device NOT robotic and is to be used under a medical professionals supervision.

Users can sit, stand, step, walk and feel better within themselves. Users have exeprienced better bowel movements, skin condiitions. less tightness in muscles and tendons, and better head control due to being able to engage better with others. 

The brace can be used in conjunction with but always supervised, walkers, standing frames, crutches, frames, track hoists, walking bars, treadmills, spider cages, pediasuit & therasuits, vibration boards, wheelchairs etc etc
